The Attack of the Gays

Over the years, Religious Right activists have blamed gay people for everything from the fall of the Roman Empire to the rise of Nazi Germany. James C. Dobson, founder of Focus on the Family, took this line of thinking to its logical conclusion recently when he asserted that gays will usher in the end of the world.

"They want to destroy the institution of marriage. It will destroy marriage. It will destroy the Earth."

What's really harrowing is that this guy says stuff like "Homosexuals are not monogamous". It's one thing to think that allowing gay marriage will destroy a sacred rite of the Church, but it's another to think something so profoundly incorrect as that and to base your argument on such a bias. That is the worse type of stereotype, and the millions of gays who live in committed, monogamous relationships should be proof enough to anyone with half a brain that this guy is off his gourd.
